5th/6th Grade Football practice and game information for the week of 9/12

Good afternoon,
In regards to the game on Saturday, I am proud of the kids. This year we have 18 players where this is their first year playing football and a few more that haven’t played in a couple of years. Getting their first game under their belt is huge in their growth and development. At the same time we have a lot that we need to keep working on and that is what I told the kids after the game. I told them that the performance of the team especially on game day starts and stops with me as head coach, not them as players.
Winning is the expectation we have as a team but is not our number one goal. We will continue to work hard everyday and along with that, the kids will continue to improve.
The schedule for this week:
Monday-No practice (enjoy the fair)
Tuesday-Practice 5:30-7:30 (normal practice location)
Wednesday-No practice
Thursday-Joint practice with Hopkins (location will be in Hopkins) from 6-8
Friday – No Walkthrough
Saturday-Game day: start time is at 6:30. Please have the kids dressed in their Orange Jersey and at the practice field 4:45 pm.
